Jacob + lindsey | Mountaintop Maine Wedding

When Lindsey and I were first discussing what her plans were for her wedding (pre-COVID) she had a few different ideas for what her wedding day might look like, including ideas about a field wedding at her Mom's house or maybe a small vineyard wedding at a local location. I remember her saying that she really would love to get married on top of a mountain, specifically the mountain where she and Jacob had one of their first dates AND where he proposed to her. So when she texted me and said, "so would you climb a mountain with us?" I was SO excited for her. I am NOT a hiker by any means so one of my favorite memories from their wedding day was Lindsey saying that she wanted to take it easy and have a nice casual hike up so that she wasn't too sweaty for the ceremony....then she proceeded to basically sprint up the mountain because she was so full of adrenaline and was so anxious and ready to get married. :) I may or may not have been sweating and huffing and puffing like crazy by the time we got to the top, but the views and their incredibly heartfelt and intimate ceremony were 100% worth it. After the hike back down we spent the rest of the afternoon having a small, intimate reception at their home with close family. Being able to incorporate the elements of their growing farm life that included their chickens, pigs, grape vines and romantic willow trees were special and sentimental to them as a couple and I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of it all. <3
